Lack of inspiration.

Lately I have been doing little things, such as taking pictures of homecoming events and the Fall Play that have been up here in Van Meter.
I want a little bit more of something fun and challenging. I haven't really blogged lately but I am getting quite busy! I do enjoy living a busy life, because life itself is busy.
I do take time for myself sometimes on the weekend I go out and sit on my porch. I might need more time for self building that might spark an interesting subject to take photos of. Hopefully sometime soon.
Thanks and sorry for the short post, just thought I should say a little something!

Summer?! OMG

SO I haven't written all summer, I feel like I have abandon my kingdom!
Lets get started with summer events!
After school I had a huge family reunion like 200 people!! Holy cow I know!!!
Big family! BUT IT MEANS BIG LOVE!
It was great getting to meet everyone since I am a new member of the family it was nice to get to know some of the history and I helped with my grandma preparing some of the reunion mostly the technology part of it.
But I got to know some of the past and history behind our family tree it was a really neat experience.
A week ago  I do believe  I just got back from YMCA camp.
An amazing place that has turned my life upside down for the better!
A place where the 4 core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, & Responsibility are placed into everything you do, from the beginning of the day to the very last moment of the day.
I met so many amazing people, had lots of laughs and smiles that will last me a lifetime.
I hope next year I will be hired to work there through the summer, getting to meet kids and learn how to live openly is such an amazing experience, it's not much you can put into words, its a see for yourself type of thing.
I went into the program thinking I was just going to enjoy it.
But I came out LOVING  it. Y-Camp is like my home! The people were like my family. In the 3 weeks I was there I became so close with so many people.
It gives you this chance to have all the friends you can ask for, but you have to want them as well.
Like they say "At Y-Camp you don't make friends, their given to you"
You just have to want them, because most likely they want to be friends with you. You will make life long friends at Y-Camp. I know I have. A few really great friends.
It was sad when it came down to the last night. Everyone in tears but we knew that wouldn't be the last of our friendships, we still talk and we are planning to hang out.
I can't wait for next summer, even if I don't get hired, I'll go visit :)
I LOVE THAT PLACE!
Right now I am having practice for cheerleading, yepp its that time again! And I Can't wait for football season to be here! <3
Well it's late I think I will head into bed right about now!
I hope everyone is having an amazing summer!

Summer is close!

HUSTON WE HAVE COUNT DOWN!
10 DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes that is right my fellow bloggers and readers, only 10 days left of school! I can count the days on my fingers!! :)
Summer is just right around the corner! This means, pools, sun, and more fun then anyone of us can imagine!
Well I want to share some of my summer plans!
Since this summer will be full of new experiences for me it will be so exciting!
I plan on taking lots and lots of pictures and watching a lot of sunsets, and taking long walks along the river and going over to grandmas and having a blast! :)
Family reunion is coming up the 2nd week of June I believe so I am excited to see the family! :) We have lots of stuff planned somethings I don't even know about hehe.
But one thing I am really looking forward to is Y-Camp.
Its a no brainer fun, exciting, and the best learning experience I am sure I will enjoy and get so much life experience out of it, and I am positive I will carry out the things they teach me into the world beyond camp.
Its something to spread and to help make a difference in the world.
It may be small, but it amounts to so much more.
:)
Have a great day!

When in Doubt.

So many things have been going on here at Van Meter once again, life is busy busy.
I am spending time taking pictures and editing them, I just recently got done with my first profit project. It was for the Van Meter Junior & Senior High School 2010 Prom.
I blogged about such earlier. I was really excited and now I feel successful in my talent. I hope to learn everything as fast as I can.
Just wish I could get connected with more people.
It's headed toward the end of the year, and I am sad to say I won't have my computer! I will have A computer but not as amazing as my MacBook.
When I start a job I will try and save up for one. I would love to have one, one day for my own personal use. (:
This computer has no doubt changed my life and outlook on education.
Some students and board members are at the Capital right now teaching the Senate about some of the things we are doing here.
(:
Wish I could, but that's for NHS I do believe. Maybe one day I will have such an opportunity.
Tonight is going to be a very long night. I have been at the School since 6:30 AM and I will be here till probably 9:30 PM, too long to be at school I know!
HA!
But I have a Performing Arts Festival tonight. Art fair along with it!
LONG DAY must I say more?
I also am being put on a photography gig, to capture some of the Junior and Seniors tonight in the Festival.
So it's a long and busy day in the life of ME.
It will all be worth it!
Got to go for now!
Have a great day readers!

More people.

Well today in the halls of Van Meter, we are having 40+ guest coming to visit and see what we are doing here at VM and seeing how we learn.
Most of them are pretty amazed at what we do, how we use our computers and how we are connecting.
They are also confused as what and how we do it!!
We enjoy teaching them how we do, they ask a lot of questions but being able to answer them at my age and helping them understand what we are doing here, it makes me feel like someone that they can come and get their answers for.
I am currently sitting here listening to a few teachers trying to understand some things and their schedules.
It's pretty amazing at what they are doing as well.
Meetings, classes, appointments.
All the good jazz you all know and have heard about before.
Mr. Durflinger is getting ready to speak, He is letting one of some of the teachers talk and tell their story.
I see a teacher using a video device recording the discussion. I guess they want to look back at what we are doing here.
Mrs. Druery is telling her story about how she was teaching and how technology has changed all of their ways of teaching.
(:
When she got more advanced in the web world she realized that our computers that they are amazing tools to use and that it was more of a help then a distraction.
OOOO she just said she purchased an iPad. I think that would be so fun to actually start using but I prefer my computer. (: NO DOUBT
Questions are being asked and answers are being given.
Online? Copy write?
No, it's watched and is worked to have it copy written.
Mrs. Carey's turn to show her new side of technology.
New text books. Classzone.com ( a site you can get help, and it has fun little practices and quizes)
skillsiowa.com as well.
"Have you found your able to use your mathmatical concepts into the kids eyes? Connections? "
"Yes, consumer. Looking up things that help them learn the lessons. "
Mr. Hyer is up next a Junior High Reading teach (he was my fav)
Comic life they read, creating something that they read into something that others can learn about.

Mrs. Miller's turn I think she is ahead of everyone here.
She is so amazing with how she is collaborating with people and how she does things.
Wish I could stay but it's time for biology

Drinking and Driving End in Dismay.

On April 28, 2010
Van Meter High School's NHS team set up an amazing story about a Drinking and Driving accident and touched the hearts of students. Tears were sure to come as the sad tale went on that day.
Nick L was the drunken driver who hit a car with the mother, and two daughters. The mother was instantly killed and the daughter in back lost all feeling in her legs.
The drunk driver got a few scratches but his friend in the back was killed as well. 2 killed and 3 critically injured. Drunk Driver walked away fine.
Ambulance's and firemen, police officers and medical assistants showed how to process is done when an accident such as this occurs.
30 minutes of long waiting and screaming from the "injured" ladies in the car and they finally got to them and had them taken out of the car and rushed to the hospital.
A hearce pulled up and the firemen got the "dead" mother from the driver seat pulled her on a gurnie, put her in a body bag, and took her away to the morg.
Not much to say when you see your friends are being drug out of an accident all blooded and in such agony.
Tears flowed from eyes everywhere as the dead body of Eryn S was drug out of the driver seat her sister who didn't know about this set up was in worse tears then we could have imagined. Watching her sister's "lifeless" body being driven away to her resting place.
What would you do if you saw where and how your family member died? Someone you loved was so tragically taken from you so quickly and all because they made a decision to drink and drive?
Not much to do.
But cry the tears and hope they are in a better place.
Later that day there was a funeral for Shayla the friend of the drunk driver and Eryn the mother in the activity center and it was for all to attend.
As the little gym filled up with friends, students, and family to watch the service of the two casket baring women taken too quickly, even more tears poured from faces of the morning people.
No one could have done a better job of showing the consequences of Drinking and Driving.
But lets all hope if you drink you make better decisions

Mystery Magic

I was told to bring my camera to school today, and I still don't know why!! But I am excited to find out! Imagine someone tells you to bring your camera something your pursuing and to help you they give you a project that you don't even know what it is!!
It might be a lion it might be tiger it might be a flower it might be a student! WHO KNOWS?!?! Because I sure don't.
I am told to be going @ 10 to receive my project. And I am enthused to see what it will be. I heard it will be an epic and emotional project. So hopefully not tearful emotional if so well i'm glad I do not have makeup on!

Weekend Mayhem (:

This weekend was probably thee busiest weekend of my LIFE! Naw... (:
But lets go thru everything that has gone on in the last few days that may or may not have interest to anyone shall we (:
Well on Friday after we got out of school, life was pretty much normal, waited for my little sister to get out of Track then when she was done with that got her and my other sister drove home and did homework.
Waited for the parents to return home later that night and we talked a little with the chit chat thru the day and discussed things like normal.
Then the parents went to go see a movie (jealous!) and we stayed home and I pretty much talked on the phone all night debating whether or not I should draw something for Art Fair that is coming up soon things where supposed to be in last friday but I sorta kinda got an extension.. not really I'm just procrastinating. ooo I spelled that right!!
After the long night of talking on the phone and messing around with my mom's friend's camera stuff she let me borrow I finally went to bed around well late.
Saturday morning got up early because I had my ... ADOPTION SHOWER! woo yah that's right if anyone knows me, I am adopted 2009, 12, 23.
(:
Best day EVA.
My family and I met up with a bunch of girls and friends of my mom as well as some of the family. Got great gifts! Yoga classes, spa packages gardening tools (: mmm!
Excitingggggggg!!
After that we all went out to a late lunch @ On the Boarded sooo good! I had thing one stuff not sure what it was but it looked like potstickers. But they were DELIC!
After that we went home and my sister and I packed up for an epic night out at our Best Friends house.
We got there late afternoon and watched movies all night including.....AVATAR!!! Boo yah I know you're jealous!
Then after all the fun and mayhem from that night we all went to bed, and got up a little later then I intended.
I had to get rushing I had a big day planned for my sunday.
I was meeting my boyfriends grandparents while going to his Choir Concert which was absolutely amazing!! <3
Loved it! Then we went out for dinner at Apple Bee's which was very delicious! I had a Salad and barely made a dint in it before i felt like I was going to explode!
Our waiter was quiet funny! Hope he got a good tip ;)
After all the family fun @ AB we went back to his house and we all chilled out and watched movies but I made my mister go down stairs so I could take pictures. And I got some really amazing ones! I can't wait to put em on some printing paper!
Well that was my weekend (:
Hope yours was just as good!

Art, school, power (;

Hoot!! Hoot!!
Sooo guess what my fellow bloggers! One of my moms closest friends has a photography hobby and she is lending me her camera, and everything that goes with it.
There are different lenses, filters, and everything more!
I will be messing around with that for a good many reason hah.
thee most important ones right now are that I have to start practicing for the prom photos i will be taking as well as the yearbook photos.
(need to get on it!)
and the other reason is that i have to have some art fair stuff in for monday and i have nothing i want to send in right now.
so my weekend is pretty full right now, so much fun and so much work, but i enjoy the things i work on.
Photography, Art (:
Ugh love it so much.
I am a pretty creative person. I love to draw little fun lines. They never really connect but they most of the time come out really pretty.
When I do draw I can not always draw from my head I'm not that good, I don't practice my drawings.
So when I want to draw something I usually find a google image and start drawing from what I see. I don't trace it. But I don't come with most of my ideas.
I have drawn 2 people's tattoo's and I plan on doing more. Including my own when I am old enough.
(:
I enjoy drawing it helps me relive stress just like working out does as well, yeah I'm a pretty healthy person.
But meh... I like to lay on the couch just as much as the next guy.
(:
A good sleep in every once in a while is needed for my cluttered and busy brain. Sometimes I just want to flush everything out and be blank. Who wants that!?!
I like to talk as well, as I am sure you can see. (:
I babble.
Well to stop boring all of you readers I will head on out. School is almost out, don't worry about me getting in trouble for blogging during school, its a requirement believe it or not. (:
hehe.
I'll go tho!!
Have a great day and PS look at the person next to you or object and smile. (:
Did you do it???
i hope so..
Because now I feel powerful hehe

I love to learn (:

Who woulda thunk!?!?!
I just thought about this today, with the changes that we have made here @ van meter we have made education a lot more interesting! I can learn so much more and so much quicker, if I don't understand something in a class I can easily contact the teacher and have them explain to me better or use a different search engine and learn it a way I think might be easier!
It's really unbelievable!
I sit here and I think, there is this amazing world .. and it's right at my finger tips. I have job opportunities, connection opportunities, learning opportunities.
Everything more!
It's amazing once you think about it, people or different educators may not think about how much it would change or how it would help, but it's amazing. It really is.
No one can experience it the same as we can of course. They may get the 2 hour tour of our school and how we function in this small school.
They will never understand how it may have changed many people's views on education, some kids that may not enjoy learning, such as I last year, enjoy learning so much more!
I never thought I would say I love learning.
I have made this huge incline in my education that I love it and I want more and more!
That's all I have to say!
Have a great day!

Yearbook Photographer?!?!

Okay, if my friends know me as much as they say they do, they don't see me in the lunch room very often I am usually hiding up in the library because I like to chat with my bestie about how the day is going and then finish up a homework assignment i generally don't do @ home.
I don't know something about it just doesn't seem right. haha! (Jay Kay)
But this week their is testing this week so the library is sometime closed.
Today it was closed ):
So I had to go to lunch in the lunch room.. ick. haha
But I came down on my favorite day! So my day was getting good! I think it might have been fate how I went down to the lunch room. Becauseeeeee
If any of you know I have been invited to go to prom and take pictures! And I sent out a mass email to all of the Prom goers to see if anyone wanted me to come with them to get pictures of the before the prom process.
And yes some replied! Still no information thooooo.
But anyways a women who does the yearbook photos saw that I sent that email and asked if I was interested in joining the yearbook committee!!
I was so excited!! And I said YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Haha So thru this year 2010! I will go out and take pictures! It's a good thing I have pictures from homecoming as well! Those will look quite beautiful in the yearbook. This year was a major win if anyone keeps track of our Football team. Woot!! SO INTENSE! I was there because I am a cheerleader! hehe.
GOOOOOOOOOO BULLDOGSS!!!

For today...

Holy cow.
Well I haven't had time to go out and mess around with my camera quite yet! Prom is getting closer and I am running out of time! So I suppose I better get to it. I am looking forward to the photographer who might be coming to my school and helping me learn a little more about my flash, it's greatly needed! I don't quite understand how to use it yet.
I have not found any good websites that give me great advice but I am probably not looking hard enough. I am sure there are amazing websites I am missing.
I am still making more and more connections thru twitter but none that really are uhm.. talkative. I probably should pursue that assumption but scared too! I probably should not be scared since the career field I desire so strongly to go into is quite the social activity and requires me to be uh, talkative. I can do that!
Haha!
Well this is short but I am sure there will be more where this came from!
Enjoy your day!

NO SHOES to RAISE AWARENESS! 1 for 1

Today tomshoes.com is raising awareness about children that don't have shoes. It's sad to think about but it's all over the world and worse in other parts!
Facing reality is sort of a hard thing to do these days, business people most of the time caught in their work trying to make a living, and others are trying to make a living finding work.
Its a continuous cycle that not a lot of people try to stop.
I want to help make a difference.
Today I am taking my shoes off in every class! May not be allowed to but I do it! Just a few minutes can make you see that without shoes you're a little "germed" out.
Think... take a moment and think..
A child .. no.. HUNDREDS AND THOUSANDS of CHILDREN!  Go without shoes every single day, 24/7 365 days a year.
How would you feel if that was you? Bet you would make some changes.
Your life would be totally different.
Now go ahead and join the hundreds of people around the world who are taking a few moments out of the day and throw your shoes in the corner.
Visit tomshoes.com
or
onedaywithoutshoes.com
(:
Possibly buy a pair of shoes?
When you buy a pair A CHILD gets a pair.
1 for 1.
Make a difference... change a life.

Set and Noticed.

Woot woot the season has fallen upon us! Yes, it's true its the formal season Juniors and Seniors look toward around spring time! It's PROM!
Dresses are being sold, and Tux's are being rented! Men are asking the women and planning a nice little evening before and after!
Juniors and Seniors wait for this time to come since their sophomore year when they all get together and start to plan the amazing night to remember forever. And that's exactly what their goal is. They want Seniors to remember their last big event before the big DIPLOMA! They want to be telling their kids and their grand kids about the night they will look forward to some night. (;
Well as I have said many manyyyy times. I love taking pictures and I plan on pursuing it as a career. Many people are learning the beauty of it, so it's getting harder to find a good spot in it all. I want to find my place and prove myself!
I don't want to just be stuck as a formal photographer, planning everything on weekends and holidays. I want to also expand my range to business photography, landscape, advertising, senior pictures, as well as holidays, and weddings.
I want that so bad. My life goal is to be set and noticed.
I want people to recommend me to their friends, family, co-workers, and strangers on the street. Anyone who wants to know me, I want to know you.
No doubt about it.
I would love to get to know you, and if you want to take the time you can get to know me and what I do.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
To my main detail why I wrote this blog
was to sayyyyy....
I GET TO GO TAKE PICTURES AT PROM!
I have talked with the prom teachers and planners and I get to go and take pictures for the prom event of 2010!
As long as parents and others are comfortable with it.
It's an amazing opportunity, and I can't wait for it! First HUGE event for me. SO I need lots and lots of practice!
These next few weeks will be crucial to my getting more information and experience. I am setting a personal goal RIGHT NOW!
1) Blog every day, tell you all how its going in the crazy loony life I love.
2) Take a new picture every day! Post it
3) This one is for my readers. I want you to comment and tell me what you think should be done.
*Give me tips and advice. I would love it.
I need it.

Please respond if you have any thoughts or ideas you want to share.

.
Thanks!

Ta Da!

Holy cow, holy cow, HOLY COW!!!!
Crazy, crazy news!! (:
Sorry haven't blogged in a little while, been trying to enjoy the Spring Break. We were having some nice weather which brings me to one of my few thoughts!
With our nice weather, the snow has been melting, and boy I could not be happier! With the melting the river has been rising, where I live it is easy to flood. So the Raccoon River had been flooding over towards our development. It was on it's way over the Corn Field, slowly, day by day. While it was on it's way over I took a walk with my dogs and the neighbors dog, and I brought my camera along and see if any photo opportunities reveal themselves. And as a matter of fact THEY DID! I looked over at the water that was planning it's destruction of our roads and corn fields I decided to take a picture of the flooding water. I sent it into a local news channel to maybe see if they would put it on their website or something.
But instead of putting it on the website THEY SHOWED IT ON TV!!!!
For 3 days in a row my picture was featured on the news with other pictures of the flood. It's probably not that amazing of a story but I was so pumped! I didn't think they would even use it! But they did!!!
And my family from Iowa saw it and told me! My neighbors saw it, and friends and people I barely know saw it on the news and were pretty excited, probably a little too much.... naw (:

Now that  I have said that I will switch thoughts still on the Photography subject. I CREATED MY OWN ONLINE STORE!!!
Yep, that's right. I have my own online store and I am now selling pictures!! http://megenoskog.shutterbugstorefront.com
That would be my link, not much there right now but working on it day by day. I have been asked for this spring when it's warmer to have another photo opportunity. And I'm PUMPED about it! Can not wait! I would love if people would message me about taking pictures. (:
If I can do it then I WOULD LOVE TO!
No doubt about it! The more time I get to spend behind the camera the more I learn and closer I get to being a professional photographer.
I may not have the Degree but I do have the eye for great photos. (:

And a sad thought is that we are moving from our house to a place closer to my school. It will be great in the long run but I still love our house now. I hope the people who ever the maybe that take this house will enjoy it as much as my family enjoyed it. (:

Well that pretty much sums it up! I am off to another Good Will donation today.
Have an amazing beautiful day. And take it one step at a time and enjoy it (:

Story Time

So many of the people who would even take the time to get to know me, know that I have had a foggy past. I don't mind to share my story to anyone that is interested in listening. I have been told it's an amazing story and that I have been through so much. There are teens, and young children that have gone through exactly what I have. But I am me, and I have my own story I want to get out.
Yes I am still a teenage, only the age of sixteen. But I have been through 30 years of life it feels like. So many of my friends always come to me for advice because I apparently give pretty great advice. Which I love, and the people that I used to work through problems with my life say it's all because I'm an "Old Soul."
"Old Soul," mostly because I am 16, but I act (most of the time) like I'm 30. I have had a lot of life experience in things a "normal" teenager shouldn't have to go through. Why I put the quotation marks over normal is because it's not directed to anyone abnormal, it's to direct a message that I didn't have a normal childhood. With my experience I think I have enough to share with the world or at least the state, that sometimes life is way outside the box. Life is never typical or planned out. It takes it's turns and it controls you. You don't control it. Unless you're God, and are you?
No... no you're not. Just thought I would answer that one for any of the confused people out there.
No offense.. sort of.
Well, that's what I have to say for now. I am sure that I will be updating this a lot more then usual, telling you on how I am coming a long, if I have a block, or I just don't know where to go or what to do. I will try and keep everyone updated as much as possible.
Any help with what to do or how to do it, would be amazing.
Sincerely,
Megan Enos-Skogerson

Whoopsies Daisy!

This weekend just flew on by!! Wish we had more time! But soon we will because its almost SPRING BREAK!!!
Ahhh!!!
Time has just flown on by this year! I don't know where the time goes but it is going somewhere fast! The snow is melting and the weather is getting warmer! It makes me so excited for summer!! Which is also almost here its so scary!!!!
Let me reflect and tell you some things that have been on my mind.
1) I am a religious person and I am becoming closer with God and learning more about his word and it makes me excited and happy every time I read about him and learn more and more about him and what he did. (:
I want to go on this little trip some teens from my youth group go to I think it is in Minnesota, and the only thing I know and that draws me in is that the people who run it tell the students to go out and find a quiet place you can't talk and you can't move really for 6 hours! 6 HOURS!!! You are just supposed to sit there and listen to God and listen to what he has to say to you! Open your mind and all of that! It sounds crazy but that peeks my interest because I feel like God and I have a lot to catch up on and I think we need that alone time that I don't give him.
But I will be trying my best to get more connected with him in this near future! (:
And another thought
2) Is that it's Teen Tech week!! Technology is every where in our school every corner you turn there is technology! And Van Meter knows it well! So we are advertising it to the whole school so that everyone knows that it's not just all Work, Work, Work. We can have fun with technology too!
It doesn't have to be with our computers, they are not the only technology we have access to. We have video games!
(:
So this week we are having people sign up during their study halls to come in a play games and have fun! The hard work does really pay off (;
But I hope this blog was interesting cause I sure thought that I needed to share with you everything that's been going on in this crazy thing I like to call my brain (:

Have a great week readers!!!

Computers, Connections, Students AND FUN!!!!

Hey everyone! I haven't written in a while. Need to change that!
I wanted to let you know that these last couple weeks have been crazy! I actually did go to my Jazz Festival last Saturday we sadly got last, but we played amazing! I think...
But anyways!
I have been trying my hardest with my grades and I have gotten a few of them up just a couple more and I will have it set! (:
I am not practicing everyday instead of Track for Cheerleading once again!! I was a cheerleader for the 2009-2010 squad. I played Varsity Football/ Competition. (: It was a blassttttttt!!!!!
Sure some of it was hard and we cut it close but we were a team and pulled together and had many laughs and memories we still talk about today!
But yes cheer try-outs are coming up! And there are so many girls going out this year!! I am nervous!! I have to work hard and show SPIRIT!! SP -IR-IT!!! Lets gooooo DAWGS!!!
(;
But a couple of thing things that have also happened lately! I have gotten connected with a 6th grade teacher and she asked me for my help with iDVD! I have been e-mailing with her back and forth trying to get her problem solved! Sadly I don't think we have quite figured it out! We have come close but still no success that I know of. But I learned a whole lot about iDVD watching the tutorials! Those help a BUNCH!!
(:
Another thing that happened is that a group I am following on Twitter called the Iowa Journal saw my flickr account!!! They said they loved some of my pictures of the outside! And asked me to add a few photos to their photo stream!!!!
Soooooo EXCITING!!!! I was thrilled to have been asked that!! I of course added photo's right away! (: Any chance for people to get to see the work that I do just for messing around and they say its good then I have this boost of confidence in my photography skills!!
Another thing that has happened this week is that I have talked with my grandma and my mother about ShutterBug it's a magazine and they obviously have a website! :p
But they have this place on their website to where you can open your own little store! And you get to set it up how you want! I talked to my mom and then we talked to my grandma and she said I can get one (:
So I'm oober oober PUMPED! I get to have my own little online store, I upload photos give the address to people then they go online and choose what they want! It gets mailed to them and I get a profit from it!! I love love loveeeeeeee it!!!!
The things we can do online now a days is so crazy!! I am amazed at it all!! I only know these few things that I do know and it's crazy how awesome they help with every day life! And how you get to know some great people without even really knowing them. But most of the time if they are willing as well as you are, they can teach you stuff or you can teach them stuff.
The exchange of information is so incredible! I am so overly excited about all of it!

And some new information is Teen Tech week! It's coming up its the week of School Conferences.
xp
Teen Tech week is a week were teens try and reach out to their classmates and try and tell them how amazing the technology is these days and encourage them to try it out! And have fun with it! Show that it's an amazing tool for education as well as safe fun!
It's crazy amazing!
But I am getting involved in a group that will be making videos and will be spreading the word about technology!
We plan on having little contest! (:
We hope the students will get into it! And try and learn more about not only the fun and safe ways of technology but the educational value (:

I hope you enjoyed this blog!! Sorry it was so long! But I had so much to say! I'm sure I could say a ton more but I will have you a few minutes of your time! I'm glad you read this!

Be Fit Be Smart.

This year is going too fast. I have been trying to grab every moment I possible can but it seems the more I try the fast time moves and slips on by.
Sadly I found out I am not going to be able to go to my next couple Jazz Band competitions but I have to study to get there. So thats my goal is to get the grades up and do what I want (:
I just joined track so I have practice every day after school. So my goal for the end of the year is Be fit, Be Smart.
I will be studying a lot so I probably wont be on my blog very much or be able to update it.
1) Grade
2) I AM AT CAPACITY WITH MY FLICKR ACCOUNT!!!!!!
):
Makes me sad to say it. I can not upload anymore pictures for now.
If anyone, uh anyone is even reading this go to my flickr account and comment!! (: please?

Radom Weekend!

Its the weekend! Can I get an AMEN!!! I am sitting at home but I got up early this morning so I could clean! It needed to be done!!! So the house looks good, I feel great, I'm heading to my best friends house, and tomorrow is Valentine's Day! This weekend is a great great great weekend!! I can't wait to blog some more about what happened this weekend I plan on taking a ton of pictures! Of what I never know!!!
If anyone, IF anyone is reading this and wants to see a picture of something ask me to take a picture! I would love to! I need someone to test me! So if anyone, anyoneeeeee, would email me that would be great I would be more that happy to do it!!!!!
But yes this weekend is going so well! I got news today from my mother that I qualify for a College Subsidy! That means some of my college is paid for!!!!! For you people that don't know I am adopted as of 12/ 23/ 2009.
The Best day of my life I might blog about that next. I want to share a little bit of my story with the world. Maybe then I might get some readers. Bahaha, no.
College!! AHH!!!! It's only a couple of years away!!!! It's pretty scary when I think about it. I like to think about the future a lot but I try and live in the moment as much as I possibly can!! I enjoy being a kid! I'm going to miss it!
Thinking about it makes me get butterflies in my tummy! But I am also very excited for the experience. I want to go to either Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa. Or Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. My mother went to ISU. ( And when I say Mother/ Father I want all my readers to know I am talking about my adoptive parents I will say Biological Parents when I mean them.)
I look at ISU and I think a tradition in the generation maybe? I love the school, the colors, the spirit!! I want to be able to go to the Football games and be one of those crazy fans you see on TV screaming and yelling for our team to win and score the winning goal!
Grandview, when I think about it I think more of quiet place that you spend more time studying then going around shouting for your school and showing your pride and enthusiasm. Whichhhh is probably not too good for me. I like to be loud and noticed for being spazie and hilariously comical! I love laughing and making people laugh and help people.
I love to help. I came from a home that was not the best and I don't want others to suffer. I hate the thought of it. My goal is to help in some way. Big or small. Any ideas????
I would love some.
I'm off to go take some pictures.
Thanks for reading!
Happy Weekend!!

Connections!!!

Hey! I am so excited to blog about this, in the last 2 days I have gotten more and more followers on Twitter! And most of them are all about photography! And a few of them I didn't find them, they found me!!!
I am so excited about this! It makes me super happy to see that I am being connected with so many different people around the world! That's right AROUND THE WORLD!!
It's so crazy!! I hope to be able to become closer with the people that I follow. So that they can help me advance in photography. Teach me some new things I can do with my camera and different effects I can use.
I just can't express how excited I am! I have gotten a couple of emails from the followers telling me to check out some of the tutorials that they set out, or look at photography websites! I learn a lot from them too!! Such as lighting! One of the most important if not thee most important element of photography!
One of my favorite sites I have been recommended is Photofizz.com it's so fun and exciting to look at and they give you photo challenges for the week! I have been trying to take these challenges. And they also recommend other photography sites and how you can get your photo's noticed and shown!
I love love love it!!!
I hope to get more and more followers soon! Who will keep connected and help me with my journey on the photography quest!
Thanks for reading!

Pursuing my Photography Purpose

I am new at learning everything with photography and I want to learn so much more! I want to find some people willing to help with that. So if anyone is reading this blog and knows anyone who could help, or know's someone who know's someone, it would be much appreciated! It could even be someone's grandma! -No offenseee!!-
I just want to take the time now to learn as much as I can, like I have said.
But other then learning, I am now taking the time to be with my family more and have the priceless memories. I sometimes wish I had a camera on me 24/7 so I can capture the little moments but they would build up faster then you think! Well I am sure you know.
Haha.
I love my family I would do anything for them. If any of you don't know I am adopted and I am 16 I was adopted in December of 2009. Best day or gift I could have ever gotten! I have come from a back round full of events! And I'll save any of those stories for a book or something!
But through these memories I have gained many hobbies. To keep my mind off of things I would draw or read. So now at my young age I love to draw, read, take pictures, and keep fit! I draw things that I can physically see. I am not too good at drawing things out of mind. Which is kind of hard but when I do they turn out pretty good. I am not an artist but I am decent at it. I have drawn 2 different tattoo's and have been told I should pursue this as a career, but that's not what I want to do. I want to I want to be a photographer as many should know. I love love love!!! To take pictures. :) It's something I do very well.
I am currently with my family after spending the day at a Jazz Festival. Which was fun and I got to see one of my good old friends. I also play in band and sing in Chorus. I enjoy them both by Jazz Band is slowly killing me with having to get up at 5:30 in the morning to be ready to get there at 7! Haha.
Sometimes I dread moving out of my bed but other times I wish I had come earlier. Even though the practices may be long and dreadful it's all fun when our group goes out to perform for other people! We may have heard the song over and over again but they haven't and they love to listen to it! No matter what they say! Bahaha!!

Other than all the things I like to do and want to do I am a pretty normal kid. I love hanging out with my friends and going out to go to crazy stuff like climb a tree or spin too fast on the mary-go-round or how ever you spell it.
I may be a teenager but I'm still a kid and I want to enjoy it while I can. I also enjoy playing some xbox and ps2 they pretty much rock! I love video games! And I love going to go see movies! When a new movies comes out I always want to go see it! Movies, music, family, and Photography pretty much sums up my life!

Well it is currently family time here in the Skog's House. So I better get a move on it!
I'll post as much as I can!

So MUCH New!!

This is year is a crazy year! Especially since I am exploring the possibilities of new opportunities thru the internet. This is year in my school which is Van Meter. We have been selected we are one of 2 school's in the world to have a 1 to 1 laptop system. We all 7-12 have MacBook's and we use them every day all day. The classes are some how built with an online system. Some teachers have wiki's and other's have different websites. But guaranteed every teacher has an online source; so even if you weren't at school, you can get your assignment online! If you really needed t connect with a teacher and your outside of the school area you can talk to them anytime!
Even if your out of state or out of country as long as you have internet access you have 100% access to get your needed information! It's so crazy! I am glad to have this learning tool and experience. I am able to do so much more now that we have these computers. I am able to take notes and not worry about where I left them or my assignments getting lost. It's all on my computer somewhere.
Sure computers might have their glitches, but they are still a helpful tool to use and one of the best tools to use. One of the most organized tools and systems you can have these days.
I am now using Twitter to get to know new people who might be able to help with my career path with Photography. And I do hope that this happens and that I get to meet lot's of new people and learn ton's of new things! I am excited about this idea, do to the things I can learn would probably be of great help for me because of a couple reasons; 1) I can learn information before I go to college and be able to go in it with some skills and be able to learn different things much more faster and not have to dwell on the things I don't know. And If I go into the course with skills then when I learn new skills I can be able to take the new skills I'll learn then take the time to be able to learn them and make sure I'm doing them right.
2) And so I can have some more skills to be able to keep learning now. And so when I take pictures for people now that they can be more satisfied or impressed.

Being able to blog and be able to tweet with new people and learn new things about everyone is quite the crazy mixture. I hope to be able to continue this for as long as I can! Things like this amaze me at how somethings work these days. Imagine five years ago when people were just discovering Cell Phones to what we have now. Can you imagine what it will be like in 10 years? I sure can't.
And I hope one day I will look back on everything from now a days and tell stories about what we thought was cool and what is cool then. I am sure there will be dramatic changes. And I am here to embrace it and learn everything I can to keep up to date.

I hope this blog was of interest!

Wide Open.

Today we are learning in class about how to blog and what kind of things you should tell other people you're interested in. So I am taking time now to write about what I am interested in and how I might use this site to help pursue it!
So let's get started on the basic's the where, why, who and, how.
Well first my name is Megan Enos-Skogerson. I have currently gotten adopted! Best day of my life.
I go to Van Meter Secondary High School and I am a Sophomore.
I am interested in Photography. Not just interested in it but I want to spend my life taking photos. And I personally don't think that Photography isn't just about taking pictures. So many people will say, " I wish I could go back in time."
And I think that taking a picture is like freezing a moment in time. You can save that moment and look back on it as much as you want. You can, for the shortest amount of time maybe feel what you felt then. It's crazy, no one really takes the time to actually see it like that. But I just think it means so much more then people want to give it out as. I want to take the time to see and learn every bit possible about this subject.
I want to use this site to meet others around that feel the same or have this high interest and can help me learn as much as possible. I want to take the time and learn everything so I can go into this career and school with as much knowledge as possible. I want to learn now so that it won't be so hard to learn everything so fast. I want to take my time so I know I am doing it right and if I'm not I can keep practicing until I can get it right.

I have a business name and I have taken pictures for people and I'm starting off slowly. But I want to be able to know more about what I'm doing for people so I can give this satisfaction to them that surprises them when they look at the picture It gives them a shock at how a picture can make something stand out or give it character. I want them to be able to say, without doubting my skills, that I am a Photographer that people can go to get the results they want.
I hope to learn as much as I can and I will keep my blog updated as much as possible so I can keep anyone who wants to talk and see what I am up to that they won't have trouble with that.
Have a great day in the big world we call Earth.
