Woot woot the season has fallen upon us! Yes, it's true its the formal season Juniors and Seniors look toward around spring time! It's PROM!
Dresses are being sold, and Tux's are being rented! Men are asking the women and planning a nice little evening before and after!
Juniors and Seniors wait for this time to come since their sophomore year when they all get together and start to plan the amazing night to remember forever. And that's exactly what their goal is. They want Seniors to remember their last big event before the big DIPLOMA! They want to be telling their kids and their grand kids about the night they will look forward to some night. (;
Well as I have said many manyyyy times. I love taking pictures and I plan on pursuing it as a career. Many people are learning the beauty of it, so it's getting harder to find a good spot in it all. I want to find my place and prove myself!
I don't want to just be stuck as a formal photographer, planning everything on weekends and holidays. I want to also expand my range to business photography, landscape, advertising, senior pictures, as well as holidays, and weddings.
I want that so bad. My life goal is to be set and noticed.
I want people to recommend me to their friends, family, co-workers, and strangers on the street. Anyone who wants to know me, I want to know you.
No doubt about it.
I would love to get to know you, and if you want to take the time you can get to know me and what I do.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
To my main detail why I wrote this blog
was to sayyyyy....
I GET TO GO TAKE PICTURES AT PROM!
I have talked with the prom teachers and planners and I get to go and take pictures for the prom event of 2010!
As long as parents and others are comfortable with it.
It's an amazing opportunity, and I can't wait for it! First HUGE event for me. SO I need lots and lots of practice!
These next few weeks will be crucial to my getting more information and experience. I am setting a personal goal RIGHT NOW!
1) Blog every day, tell you all how its going in the crazy loony life I love.
2) Take a new picture every day! Post it
3) This one is for my readers. I want you to comment and tell me what you think should be done.
*Give me tips and advice. I would love it.
I need it.
Please respond if you have any thoughts or ideas you want to share.
.
Thanks!

Ta Da!
Holy cow, holy cow, HOLY COW!!!!
Crazy, crazy news!! (:
Sorry haven't blogged in a little while, been trying to enjoy the Spring Break. We were having some nice weather which brings me to one of my few thoughts!
With our nice weather, the snow has been melting, and boy I could not be happier! With the melting the river has been rising, where I live it is easy to flood. So the Raccoon River had been flooding over towards our development. It was on it's way over the Corn Field, slowly, day by day. While it was on it's way over I took a walk with my dogs and the neighbors dog, and I brought my camera along and see if any photo opportunities reveal themselves. And as a matter of fact THEY DID! I looked over at the water that was planning it's destruction of our roads and corn fields I decided to take a picture of the flooding water. I sent it into a local news channel to maybe see if they would put it on their website or something.
But instead of putting it on the website THEY SHOWED IT ON TV!!!!
For 3 days in a row my picture was featured on the news with other pictures of the flood. It's probably not that amazing of a story but I was so pumped! I didn't think they would even use it! But they did!!!
And my family from Iowa saw it and told me! My neighbors saw it, and friends and people I barely know saw it on the news and were pretty excited, probably a little too much.... naw (:
Now that I have said that I will switch thoughts still on the Photography subject. I CREATED MY OWN ONLINE STORE!!!
Yep, that's right. I have my own online store and I am now selling pictures!! http://megenoskog.shutterbugstorefront.com
That would be my link, not much there right now but working on it day by day. I have been asked for this spring when it's warmer to have another photo opportunity. And I'm PUMPED about it! Can not wait! I would love if people would message me about taking pictures. (:
If I can do it then I WOULD LOVE TO!
No doubt about it! The more time I get to spend behind the camera the more I learn and closer I get to being a professional photographer.
I may not have the Degree but I do have the eye for great photos. (:
And a sad thought is that we are moving from our house to a place closer to my school. It will be great in the long run but I still love our house now. I hope the people who ever the maybe that take this house will enjoy it as much as my family enjoyed it. (:
Well that pretty much sums it up! I am off to another Good Will donation today.
Have an amazing beautiful day. And take it one step at a time and enjoy it (:

Story Time
So many of the people who would even take the time to get to know me, know that I have had a foggy past. I don't mind to share my story to anyone that is interested in listening. I have been told it's an amazing story and that I have been through so much. There are teens, and young children that have gone through exactly what I have. But I am me, and I have my own story I want to get out.
Yes I am still a teenage, only the age of sixteen. But I have been through 30 years of life it feels like. So many of my friends always come to me for advice because I apparently give pretty great advice. Which I love, and the people that I used to work through problems with my life say it's all because I'm an "Old Soul."
"Old Soul," mostly because I am 16, but I act (most of the time) like I'm 30. I have had a lot of life experience in things a "normal" teenager shouldn't have to go through. Why I put the quotation marks over normal is because it's not directed to anyone abnormal, it's to direct a message that I didn't have a normal childhood. With my experience I think I have enough to share with the world or at least the state, that sometimes life is way outside the box. Life is never typical or planned out. It takes it's turns and it controls you. You don't control it. Unless you're God, and are you?
No... no you're not. Just thought I would answer that one for any of the confused people out there.
No offense.. sort of.
Well, that's what I have to say for now. I am sure that I will be updating this a lot more then usual, telling you on how I am coming a long, if I have a block, or I just don't know where to go or what to do. I will try and keep everyone updated as much as possible.
Any help with what to do or how to do it, would be amazing.
Sincerely,
Megan Enos-Skogerson

Whoopsies Daisy!
This weekend just flew on by!! Wish we had more time! But soon we will because its almost SPRING BREAK!!!
Ahhh!!!
Time has just flown on by this year! I don't know where the time goes but it is going somewhere fast! The snow is melting and the weather is getting warmer! It makes me so excited for summer!! Which is also almost here its so scary!!!!
Let me reflect and tell you some things that have been on my mind.
1) I am a religious person and I am becoming closer with God and learning more about his word and it makes me excited and happy every time I read about him and learn more and more about him and what he did. (:
I want to go on this little trip some teens from my youth group go to I think it is in Minnesota, and the only thing I know and that draws me in is that the people who run it tell the students to go out and find a quiet place you can't talk and you can't move really for 6 hours! 6 HOURS!!! You are just supposed to sit there and listen to God and listen to what he has to say to you! Open your mind and all of that! It sounds crazy but that peeks my interest because I feel like God and I have a lot to catch up on and I think we need that alone time that I don't give him.
But I will be trying my best to get more connected with him in this near future! (:
And another thought
2) Is that it's Teen Tech week!! Technology is every where in our school every corner you turn there is technology! And Van Meter knows it well! So we are advertising it to the whole school so that everyone knows that it's not just all Work, Work, Work. We can have fun with technology too!
It doesn't have to be with our computers, they are not the only technology we have access to. We have video games!
(:
So this week we are having people sign up during their study halls to come in a play games and have fun! The hard work does really pay off (;
But I hope this blog was interesting cause I sure thought that I needed to share with you everything that's been going on in this crazy thing I like to call my brain (:
Have a great week readers!!!

Computers, Connections, Students AND FUN!!!!
Hey everyone! I haven't written in a while. Need to change that!
I wanted to let you know that these last couple weeks have been crazy! I actually did go to my Jazz Festival last Saturday we sadly got last, but we played amazing! I think...
But anyways!
I have been trying my hardest with my grades and I have gotten a few of them up just a couple more and I will have it set! (:
I am not practicing everyday instead of Track for Cheerleading once again!! I was a cheerleader for the 2009-2010 squad. I played Varsity Football/ Competition. (: It was a blassttttttt!!!!!
Sure some of it was hard and we cut it close but we were a team and pulled together and had many laughs and memories we still talk about today!
But yes cheer try-outs are coming up! And there are so many girls going out this year!! I am nervous!! I have to work hard and show SPIRIT!! SP -IR-IT!!! Lets gooooo DAWGS!!!
(;
But a couple of thing things that have also happened lately! I have gotten connected with a 6th grade teacher and she asked me for my help with iDVD! I have been e-mailing with her back and forth trying to get her problem solved! Sadly I don't think we have quite figured it out! We have come close but still no success that I know of. But I learned a whole lot about iDVD watching the tutorials! Those help a BUNCH!!
(:
Another thing that happened is that a group I am following on Twitter called the Iowa Journal saw my flickr account!!! They said they loved some of my pictures of the outside! And asked me to add a few photos to their photo stream!!!!
Soooooo EXCITING!!!! I was thrilled to have been asked that!! I of course added photo's right away! (: Any chance for people to get to see the work that I do just for messing around and they say its good then I have this boost of confidence in my photography skills!!
Another thing that has happened this week is that I have talked with my grandma and my mother about ShutterBug it's a magazine and they obviously have a website! :p
But they have this place on their website to where you can open your own little store! And you get to set it up how you want! I talked to my mom and then we talked to my grandma and she said I can get one (:
So I'm oober oober PUMPED! I get to have my own little online store, I upload photos give the address to people then they go online and choose what they want! It gets mailed to them and I get a profit from it!! I love love loveeeeeeee it!!!!
The things we can do online now a days is so crazy!! I am amazed at it all!! I only know these few things that I do know and it's crazy how awesome they help with every day life! And how you get to know some great people without even really knowing them. But most of the time if they are willing as well as you are, they can teach you stuff or you can teach them stuff.
The exchange of information is so incredible! I am so overly excited about all of it!
And some new information is Teen Tech week! It's coming up its the week of School Conferences.
xp
Teen Tech week is a week were teens try and reach out to their classmates and try and tell them how amazing the technology is these days and encourage them to try it out! And have fun with it! Show that it's an amazing tool for education as well as safe fun!
It's crazy amazing!
But I am getting involved in a group that will be making videos and will be spreading the word about technology!
We plan on having little contest! (:
We hope the students will get into it! And try and learn more about not only the fun and safe ways of technology but the educational value (:
I hope you enjoyed this blog!! Sorry it was so long! But I had so much to say! I'm sure I could say a ton more but I will have you a few minutes of your time! I'm glad you read this!
